The Start Line: Born To Run. Intermediate Running Group. Winter Running Program in London Ontario. 

If you're ready to build on your running base, extend your distance, or find a smoother pace in a supportive group, this program is for you. It's designed for runners moving toward 5K or 10K goals and looking for training that feels steady, clear and doable. This group bridges the gap between walk to run and more structured running.

  • Graduates of our Step by Step Novice Program
  • Runners returning after time away
  • Active people with general fitness from other activities 
  • Anyone wanting to level up their running without pressure
  • Anyone looking for consistency, strength, and community.


Program Details
You should be able to run 4 to 5 KM continuously at a pace between 6:15 and 6:50 per KM. Workouts in this group include more structure and slightly longer intervals than our novice group. If you're not sure where you fit, reach out and we'll help you find the right place.

What to Expect

This program is goal focused with progressive training that meets you were you are. Whether you aim is a stronger 5K, building toward a 10K, or laying the groundwork for longer races, we'll help you get there with smart, accessible workouts.

Each session is adaptable. You choose the effort that feels right for your day, and we support you through every step of the growth curve.

How it works:

You’ll meet two to three days each week for workout-based runs like intervals, speed, and hills with others who share similar goals. On your third day (our “long run” day), you’ll focus on your personal distance goal. Most runners in this group aim to finish a strong 5K with growth towards 10K, but your plan is flexible based on your needs.

 

Runs are led by certified coaches who keep things fun, personal, and supportive. Outside of class, you'll have access to an online community where you can share progress, stay encouraged, and feel connected.

Step-by-Step Program Details

  • 12-week program | 3 days per week | 36 lessons | London, Ontario
     

Start Date: 

  • Monday, January 12,  2026  to Monday, April 6th, 2026.
     

Schedule:

  • Monday's 6:15 PM at Edgevalley Park (269 Edgevalley Rd)
  • Tuesday's (Bonus class) 6:15 PM at Gibbons Park (29 Victoria St)
  • Wednesday's 6:15 PM at Edgevalley Park (269 Edgevalley Rd) 
  • Saturday's: 8:30 AM at Springbank Gardens (205 Wonderland Rd S)

Classes are designed so no one is left behind. You’ll always have support at every stage 

 

The Fine Print:

  • Please consult your physician or health care provider before starting any fitness program to ensure it’s right for you. 
  • Classes will take place rain, snow, or shine, unless there is a severe weather warning or unsafe road conditions. 
  • Programs are non-transferable from season to season

 

Holiday Schedule 

  • Our final run will be on Easter Monday (April 6th) at 6:30 PM. All classes will be running together for our end of season graduation!
