Is it too late in life to get faster or stronger?
This question is rarely about age. It's about distance.
Distance from who you used to be. Distance from what your body could do before. Distance from the version of you that felt capable and strong and in rhythm.
And the fear underneath it is quiet but heavy.
"Have I drifted too far to come back?"
Staying close isn’t about holding on to the past. It's about staying in relationship with your body as it is now.
Strength doesn’t come from chasing an old version of yourself, rather, it comes from meeting the one you are today with attention and care.
Speed doesn’t come from forcing youth back into your legs. It comes from building trust, layer by layer, in the body that's carried you this far.
You don’t get faster or stronger by demanding more distance. You do it by staying close enough to listen.
Close to your breath. Close to your effort. Close to the signals that tell you when to push and when to soften.
Progress at this stage of life is not about proving. It's about staying connected long enough to let adaptation happen.
You are not too late. You are still here. And staying close is what lets growth continue.
