Step by Step is a beginner-friendly running program that helps you gradually build strength, endurance, and confidence in a supportive environment.
 

Soul Runners is a welcoming running group in London, Ontario offering coached programs designed to help runners start safely and build consistency.
 

There’s no pressure to be fast or perfect. We begin slowly, build steadily, and help you find a rhythm that feels good for your body.
 

Whether you’ve never run before or are returning after time away, this program gives you a place to start.
 

Who is this program for?

This program is a great fit if you:
 

• Are completely new to running
• Are returning after significant time off
• Are rebuilding fitness after an injury
• Want to improve your fitness in a supportive environment without pressure

You don’t need to be able to run continuously to join.
 

What to Expect

This program focuses on gradually building your endurance and confidence through walk-to-run intervals.
 

Over the 12 weeks, you’ll slowly increase your running time while reducing walking breaks, allowing your body to adapt safely and comfortably.
 

By the end of the program, many runners reach their goal of completing a 5K distance, but the plan is flexible depending on where you're starting.
 

The goal isn’t speed. The goal is helping you become comfortable with running and enjoy the process.
 

How it Works

You’ll meet twice per week for coached runs with other runners who are starting their running journey.
 

These sessions include interval-based workouts designed to gradually build endurance, strength, and confidence.
 

Each week also includes an optional Saturday community run focused on building distance.
 

Saturday runs are informal meet-ups and may not always be led by a coach, but you’ll still receive guidance on how to progress your distance each week.
 

Outside of the runs, you’ll also have access to the Soul Runners community, where members share progress, ask questions, and support each other along the way.
 

Runs are led by certified coaches who keep things fun, supportive, and approachable.

The Fine Print

• Please consult your physician or healthcare provider before beginning any fitness program.
• Classes run rain, snow, or shine unless there is severe weather or unsafe conditions.
