We are collecting adult clothing, outerwear, and footwear donations for the London Health Science Center (LHSC) Emergency Department for Discharge Planning.
These donations are for everyone; including but not limited to
your friend or family member who experienced a trauma (for example; a car accident) whose clothing was cut away for rapid assessment
an elderly person who checked in wearing their night clothes via EMS
someone whose clothing was soaked in bodily fluids
and
our marginalized population who may need dry clothing, shoes or a coat to facilitate a safe discharge (to name a few)
*We will also be collecting crayons, magazines, or books. Some people have to stay checked in for a very long time and it’s a great diversional activity!* How we will be accepting donations: Bring with you to our semi annual brewery run on Saturday. August 27th at Forked River brewing between 12 and 12:30 PM (Not mandatory to participate) Bring with you Saturday, September 3rd for our 5K on the Block from Winks Eatery at 9 AM (Not mandatory to participate) and Drop off at the Soul Runners Booth during the Entrepreneurial Marketplace for Leap Junction's demo day on Thursday, September 8th at Fanshawe College Please feel free to DM or email kristen@soulrunners.ca for more information.
