Spring Is About Returning

Spring is not a restart.
It’s a return.
Most people come back to running with guilt. They apologize for the break. They rush to make up for lost time. They act like rest was a mistake instead of part of being human.
But life doesn’t move in straight lines. Bodies don’t either.
Spring running is about re-entry. About listening again. About letting the first few weeks feel awkward and uneven without trying to control the outcome. Some days will feel surprisingly good. Some will feel heavy for no clear reason.
That’s normal.
You don’t need to earn your way back. You just need to show up gently enough that you don’t scare yourself away again.
Progress comes faster when you stop rushing it.— Coach K
