If you've been thinking about starting running but aren't sure where to begin, this program is designed for you.
 

The Soul Runners Novice Program is a beginner-friendly running program that helps you build confidence, find community, and create a sustainable running routine in a supportive environment.
 

Soul Runners is a welcoming running group in London, Ontario offering coached programs designed to help runners start safely and build consistency.
 

There is no pressure to be fast or perfect. We begin slowly, progress gradually, and help you find a rhythm that works for your body.
 

Whether you've never run before or are returning after time away, this program gives you a place to start.
 

Who is this program for?

This program is a great fit if you:
 

• Are completely new to running
• Are returning after significant time off
• Are rebuilding fitness after an injury
• Want to improve your fitness in a supportive environment without pressure
• Are looking for accountability and a welcoming community
 

You do not need to be able to run continuously to join.
 

What to Expect

This program focuses on gradually building confidence and endurance through walk-to-run intervals.
 

Over the 10 weeks, you'll slowly increase your running time while reducing walking breaks, allowing your body to adapt safely and comfortably.
 

Many runners complete a 5K distance by the end of the program, though everyone progresses at their own pace.
 

The goal is not speed. The goal is helping you become comfortable with running and enjoy the process.
 

How it Works

You'll meet twice per week for coached runs alongside other runners who are beginning their running journey.
 

These sessions include interval-based workouts designed to gradually build endurance, confidence, and consistency.
 

Each week also includes an optional Saturday community run focused on building time on your feet and connecting with other runners.
Saturday runs are informal meet-ups and may not always be led by a coach, but you'll still receive guidance on how to progress each week.
 

Outside of the runs, you'll have access to the Soul Runners community, where members share progress, ask questions, and support one another along the way.
 

Runs are led by certified coaches who keep things fun, supportive, and approachable.

The Fine Print
